So Competitive…

Sim racing is so competitive these days and being that I’m 60 years of age, it’s not getting any easier to compete. That doesn’t stop me though, I’m learning everyday and getting a little quicker all the time. I choose my battles on track, knowing who’s around me and racing people on par with my ability. If someone’s much faster, why hold them up when I can try to following them for a bit and learn and learn something.

That being said, I missed the starting grid in my GT3 race at Sebring Int this week, so I started from the pits in 17th position and raced the track plus a few cars I caught and ended up finishing in P7 by about a bumper! It was pouring rain, so it’s a whole new animal so to speak, but was fun aside from a few code browns if you know what I mean. lol
At least the rain would wash away the brown stains after the race. 🤣

Off to Red Bull Ring this coming week, hope it’s not raining there!

Sim Gear Reviews

I plan to start posting reviews of Sim Gear Products.
If there are any companies that would like product reviews, I’m very good and finding issues, if any, and/or strengths in products. Contact me if you need your products put to the test with a complete honest review.

Sim Gear Upgrade

In recent weeks I’ve upgraded my gear a bit…

I was previously running a G29 Logitech and then upgraded the pedals last year to the FANATEC Clubsport v3s, and I finally upgraded the wheel base to the FANATEC GT DD PRO with two of the Elite Wheels as a start… I got the McLaren GT3 v2 for use with GT3 class cars and the odd open wheel series I run, and I also got the Elite WRC to have an inexpensive round for anything it suits better.

Hello world!

Welcome to my Gallery 616 Sim-Racing Blog.
I’m just an old guy that has had a passion for racing for many years but could never afford the real thing, so Sim-Racing using mainly Iracing is as close to real as I can get.

This is where I’ll be posting my personal Sim-Racing related content as I keep trying to improve my racing skills.
